First Nation’s Art Contest – WINNER: Darrell Thorne

The Island Corridor Foundation would like to Congratulate Tusqanum, Darrell Thorne, of Quw’utsun, Cowichan Tribes on his successful submission to the Island Corridor Foundation First Nations Art Contest. Darrell’s Q’ullhanumutsun, Orca design was chosen in honor of the Salish Sea that encompasses Vancouver Island. The design depicts traditional Coast Salish form line combined with a contempary flare exclusive to Darrell. The contest ran for a total of 6 weeks ending on October 9th, 2020.
