The City of Langford has opened applications to artists, food trucks and other small businesses and vendors to populate its new Station Avenue market area, set to open next spring.
Langford Station, along the E&N Railway tracks, is a partnership with the Island Corridor Foundation.
It is designed to be a community hub with a focus on arts and culture, food and incubator businesses looking to test products and services.
Applications are open for the following:
• Six artist studios are available. Studio space can be rented individually, or multiple artists can share a single studio. The studios will provide an opportunity for artists to showcase their abilities while also offering their goods for sale.
• Six business incubator retail locations are available for rent. These aim to create an opportunity for businesses to test their business model or expand an existing business to Langford before committing to a brick-and-mortar location. Businesses will need to demonstrate in their application how they will contribute to the interactive and consumer experience at Langford Station.
• Six food truck stalls are available for rent daily. Interested food-truck owners must apply and be approved by the City of Langford prior to receiving permission to book dates.
