E & N Rail Trail – Over 8 kilometers of trail are constructed between Mostar Road and Townsite Road in Central Nanaimo. This multi-use trail is a great place for walkers, runners, cyclists, skateboarders and roller bladers of all abilities. The E&N Trail is one of the most popular commuter trails in Nanaimo due to its relatively flat surface and its great connection points to recreation centres, parks, schools and shopping. It is safely located away from railroad traffic and the highway and is used extensively for both recreational and transportation purposes.

An Active Transportation Route for Everyone
Hop out to Coombs or nip into Parksville, the Coombs to Parksville Rail Trail provides the way. This wide compacted gravel trail serves pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians. It’s almost 7 km long, and offers plenty of room for all of those on the move or just out for exercise. Along the way, check out the best of Oceanside graffiti art, gaze down into the cool mossy depths of Romney Creek, or watch the bald eagles riding the air currents near their Church Rd area perch and nest trees. Come spring, enjoy the wildflowers and the young fish in trailside ditches as you head into Coombs. Make the Rail Trail a regular part of your healthy living program.
